Hemingway had his stitches out today! The vet said he has the best looking amputation scar this week so far! Clean, no problems, no irritations, no seroma. Pajamas worked!
Another week of some short walks and learning how to use the stairs. I’m worried about the steeper steps that go down downstairs and the steps to the bed. Everyone says they figure it out…
I’m grateful to have him with me to continue the journey through this life. No more gifts are needed this season. 🐾❤️
We took a picture at the Vet’s office by the Christmas tree before we waved goodbye.
Today, Hemingway got a letter from our family friend. I don’t think any of my furnabies have received cards before!
The boys are happy to be doing some things together again.
Woohoo! Cheers to getting back to all those things he loves doing. When stitches come out it’s a really big deal, and helps us feel like we are moving forward again. YAY!
If you’d like help with your blog photos let me know, I don’t know if you intended the photos to be so small. I can give you a tutorial in the Tripawds Chat sometime if you’d like.
Oh and as for stairs, they do figure it out but he will always need your guidance using stairs, for safety. Your Flagline harness is perfect for that! If he’s too low to the ground for you to always assist, you can create a shoulder strap so you don’t have to bend down so far.
Do you have any pictures of the shoulder strap? Is it just a double sided leash?
